Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Wholism

I originally opened the wholism page because I saw a mention of wiki when I browsed wholism on google. Wiki was no 2 out of 8,830 results. I think there is a difference between wholism and holism, other than just in spelling, and so apparently do quite a lot of other people. If wiki editors don't see a difference, then no problem for me.

My site Wholism.org is no 1 on google for wholism and has been for a long time. It is also no 1 on google for meta physics from more than 1,000,000 results. I have been accused of egotism and wanting to use wiki to promote my site. Whilst I certainly have an ego I don't think my site will get much promotion from wiki since I have never actually placed the site url on the project page, only on the discussion page.

Perhaps my work was original research 20 years ago when I first wrote it, but it has been pretty well known by many people for a considerable length of time now.

I don't get a lot of time for messing about on computers, but I did in fact indicate on the wholism discussion page that I would update the entry over the coming few weeks. And do you actually know yet if wholism really is holism, pantheism, panentheism, or perhaps something just a little bit different to all of them? --Ogb 07:12, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If "wholism" doesn't exist except as a made-up religion (and "meta-physics" similarly), then it's unsurprising that they make number one on Google. I imagine that most of the hits for "meta-physics" are for sites that are simply misspelling "metaphysics". 10:56, 7 May 2005 (UTC)

Now I understand why you want to call wholism holism - look at [1] - . Believe it or not, I had never heard of Ken Wilber before coming on wiki. Nor have I ever read any of his books.--Ogb 23:51, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
