Red Sox
[edit]The introduction to the article says that the Red Sox are "formally" the Avalanche. Is that true, or is it that they were "formerly" the Avalanche? I admit to ignorance about baseball, but I was under the impression that they had changed their name. 68.106.89.64 (talk) 11:35, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
You are correct. The Salem Avalanche changed to The Salem Red Sox not too long ago (I don't remember exactly when), so the proper spelling would be "formerly". I've corrected it. It may not be necessary to mention the Avalanche at all, but I'll leave that up to someone else to decide. wolvesnthemist (talk) 10:31, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Salem Fair
[edit]Shouldn't the Salem Fair be mentioned? From my understanding, the Taliaferro complex starts their fiscal year right before the fair and operates at a profit for the rest of the year due to profits from the fair. It is also advertised as the largest free gate fair in the US. Seems like it would be much more representative of the topic than the Borat incident. UselessToRemain (talk) 23:53, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
