"Mainland China" in titles
[edit]Hello. I have proposed at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese) to change the title of some articles and categories. Would you be interested to join the discussion and say something? — Instantnood 20:38, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]Many thanks for your support and your kind words on my adminship nomination. I very much appreciate the confidence you showed in me. Best regards, — mark ✎ 22:05, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
IfD Vote
[edit]Hey Austin, I seem to recall you voted to keep the Autofellatio.jpg image inline at autofellatio. Well, its subsequent linking has emboldened the image's opponents to put it up for deletion (again!), claiming that it's a copyvio (which they can't prove) and unencyclopedic, etc. I wonder if you'd like to voice your opinion there? Your vote is needed!
[edit]Hello A.D.H. Despite the ongoing discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese) over the use of the terms "mainland China" and "People's Republic of China", SchmuckyTheCat and Huaiwei have listed category:Cities in mainland China, category:Companies of mainland China and category:Laws of mainland China onto Wikipedia:Categories for deletion.
Your vote is now essential and vital for the survival of these categories, and to avoid attempts to bar the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Chinese) from truly enforced. — Instantnood 20:46, Mar 24, 2005 (UTC)
Update: there's also a poll at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese). — Instantnood 01:01, Mar 25, 2005 (UTC)
Quarto by email
[edit]Hi Austin, a new mailing list has been set up to distribute news about the Wikimedia foundation, specifically at the moment to publicise Quarto. I saw your name on the quarto talk page requesting a copy by email, and I think this mailing list is how we're going to do it for the moment. It'll be a html email, which I've added to the Quarto talk page m:Talk:WQ. Mailing list is called Foundation-news-l (We also need translators!) Cheers w:User:Cormaggio
Very good rewrite on the HCSB article! - Hoshie/Crat 21:00, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)
The article namespace is for encyclopedia articles alone. If you want to thank these people, it's probably better to thank them on their own talk pages, or in a public discussion place like the Village pump or the mailing list. Alternatively, you could award them a Wikipedia:Barnstar|barnstar. Happy editing! Mgm|(talk) 09:56, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)
- It took me a moment to figure out just what the hell you were talking about, but as near as I can figure I accidentally created this article on the wrong Wiki while frantically trying to meet our deadline using Lynx. Thanks for correcting my mistake; the appropriate article is at [1].
Please come and vote!

Salve!
I nominated W. Mark Felt as a WP:FAC. As you commented on the Deep Throat talk page, I'd appreciate your comments at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/W. Mark Felt/archive1. PedanticallySpeaking 15:47, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
I have now reopened the notice board, if you are interested in contributing new topics, or in nominating articles for the Collaboration of the Week, which also received a revamp. Please post on the project's talk page if you show interest. Mike H 02:51, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)
Any reason for the oppose? Just curious, not attacking or anything. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:36, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I've never had the greatest confidence in your maturity, and recent events haven't done anything to convince me otherwise. I wouldn't worry too much about the nomination, though; it looks like you have it in the bag. A.D.H. (t&m) 19:05, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

[edit]There is a vote going on at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2005 November 7#Category:Soviet spies to Category:Aed Soviet spies. This is a challenge to the sourcing of Venona project materials & direct related article series. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look. Thank you. nobs 02:37, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

Could you consider adding this template to your userpage? It is very helpful in case translators are needed and such.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 15:16, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
TFD: Linkimage
[edit]Hi there, you voted to provide the image Image:Autofellatio 2.jpg at autofellatio inline rather than link to it. The template used to make the link is now up for deletion, please see Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion#Template:Linkimage... Mikkerpikker 15:32, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Tmesis
[edit]The first discussion on the Tmesis Talk page is about "a-whole-nother", and gives the reason for its removal. If you want to keep it in there, go for it, but there was a reason given. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Severinus (talk • contribs) 13:08, July 2, 2006
- "No reason was given" for Nik42's revert of my addition; had he said even "see talk" I would have noted the objection, although I still disagree. Austin Hair ✍ ✉ 22:52, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
