Your knot page edits
[edit]Hey, I noticed you did some reformatting on some of the knot pages. Unfortunately, it looks like you've used a template from one of the old-style pages instead of using the new style. The proper template to use is the one at the beginning of Talk:Knots. - sik0fewl 06:37, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Whoops sorry, didn't know that! Pardon my ignorance! I changed them cos some of the formatting wasn't standard... Some had them in headers, other had them in the stated format... Maybe you could search through and change them too. Sorry again! =] 12:41, Nov 10, 2004 (UTC)
- That's okay. The knot pages are really a mess right now (three different formats I think), so at least somebody was *trying* to do something about it :) I reverted most of your edits where you changed it from the right way (or semi-right) to a wrong way, but I left the wrong->wrong conversions the same. - sik0fewl 16:47, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Mineral edits
[edit]Hi - I've noted that you have been adding infoboxes to a few mineral pages. Great - that is a project of mine that keeps getting delayed. You are welcome to join in the Wikipedia:WikiProject Rocks and Minerals page and its talk. Also note the Wikipedia:WikiProject Rocks and Minerals/Worklist for a list of those minerals done and those to do. I added your hematite, Uraninite, and Pyrolusite to the done list - means they have infoboxes. Thanks -Vsmith 16:50, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- =] Thanks! I'll hold the joining but I'll probably just add occassionally, when I'm bored around wikipedia! fiveless 10:30, Nov 12, 2004 (UTC)
Wikifun round 4

Hello
[edit]A fellow Singaporean here. I was a Christian and know the lifestyle of the Christians very well. I highly respect what you have written, but like the Buddhist, I have the language facts put up, having the intention to elaborate the lifestyles of the people who adhere to different religions. Buddhist Chinese, if you roam around the HDB flats, you can see how they place altars and the dialects they speak. The westernized Christians, on the other hand, is mainly westernized and speak English. Christianity in Singapore is brought by the Europeans, not by the Asians. Only Westernized Asians convert and will, unavoidably, adopt English as their first language, even on the time of their conversion. Look into it, and please reply before removing the languages spoken in Christian households. Thanks a lot, User:Chan Han Xiang
- Hm, okay, maybe I was a bit too enthusiastic in removing some sections of the article, but I think my main motivation was that the use of language in the artical was a bit too general and liberally used, so I guess I had to make do with removing it. I've seen your edits on the Singaporean Chinese page, and I'm fine with them, and I think they're pretty good in keeping the facts yet not using it in a fashion that sounds too general (like it did before my edits). Thanks for the comments, and sorry for any offence caused by my edits. =] - fiveless 12:40, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)
article
[edit]We do have an article on pangrams, though! - Nunh-huh 22:49, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Oops haha, I must've been a bit dazed at the time I was searching. :P Heh, thanks! fiveless 05:05, Jan 1, 2005 (UTC)
tagging articles
[edit]Please put templates like {{expansion}} that only are useful to editors, on talk pages (the only exception I can think of would be the different stub templates). This is to Avoid self references as much as possible and make our content more useful to third party users. Thank you. :) --mav 08:49, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Um, I'm not exactly very clear on this policy, but could you explain it to me in further detail? I didn't really understand what the avoid self reference page was trying to say... - fiveless 10:32, Feb 10, 2005 (UTC)

RI wiki Orientaion and OBS camp edits
[edit]24 April 2005: To Fiveless: Re: RI wiki: I think the removal of some content on the OBS and orientation camps was a little excessive. Dont think they really violate the NPOV. But whether to restore those parts still is your decision,
- I guess it may have been a bit too excessive (I was a bit irritated by the npov tag there that day), but those comments I removed were POVed to some extent, but do feel free to reinstate them, I have no qualms with them being there, except that they may seem to some like opinions, thanks for commenting though! - fiveless 15:06, Apr 30, 2005 (UTC)

WORK FOR YOU
[edit]No, actually I just wanted you to help resolve a particular edit dispute over at the Raffles Junior College article. Seems User:Icecold1 is hell-bent on adding POV and excessive information about Shu-Min and Annabel Chong to the article. Would also like opinions on how to integrate the Shu-Min incident into the article. See you on the talk page! -ryand 07:12, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sup, how was council retreat? Anyway, drop by the RJC talk page again if you're free and vote in the quick straw poll that I started - I want to determine that consensus is indeed in favour of Shu-min not remaining on the article. Polling being evil aside, I have no idea how to deal with "careful consideration, dissection and eventual synthesis of each side's arguments" when one side includes a stubborn troll who refuses to discuss issues calmly and rationally. -ryand 11:49, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]Hello, could you upload svg versions of your pictures, too? It would be much less work to translate it. :) --David Jaša (talk) 22:32, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Japanese Mythology
[edit]You were the one who added this on the disambiguation page for Ri:
"Ri (monster), an aquatic creature in Japanese mythology described as a mix between a human and a jellyfish"
Right?
If it was, I was wondering exactly where you took that from.
I am unable to find any mention of a human-jellyfish hybrid
in japanese legend, anywhere. Could you please add a
source to the statement, or even help begin the article for it?
Thank you.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
