Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

[[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]]

P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

Route 107

[edit]

Hi! That was a welcome surprise to see something on ol' Hawthorne Boulevard. I grew up in Torrance not far from it. I made one change: PCH hasn't been part of 101 for decades. - Lucky 6.9 03:52, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the offer! I might just take you up on that. I agree there should be some convention to these articles. - Lucky 6.9 04:30, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject California State Highways

[edit]

Hello. I noticed you started this WikiProject. Count me in since I have also contributed to these articles. Now, I already noticed you let Lucky 6.9 know about this. The only other user off the top of my head right now who might be interested is SPUI, who seems to be the resident road geek here.

Speaking of SPUI, he seems to be on a crusade to rename "California state highways" to "California State Routes". A few days ago, he renamed all of the articles that way. And he was the one who posted Category:California state highways on CFD to be renamed like that. So I might suggest that we should also rename this Wikiproject to Wikipedia:WikiProject California State Routes. Zzyzx11 | Talk 05:34, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

CASH mileposts

[edit]

I was wondering where i can find the iunformation about the mileposts and counties? well, calNEXUS has county names but no mileposts; do you get this from the state highway code?

Thanks, --atanamir 04:50, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

CASR wikiproj template

[edit]

Do we need the {{cleanupcsh}} template anymore? Because it wound up on Wikipedia:Templates for deletion.

US Interstate highway stub problems

At Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stub_sorting/Proposals there is an ongoing debate about U.S. Interstate Highway Stub and US Highway stub... --00:40, August 7, 2005 (UTC)

[edit]

Hello, Bennyp81. Due to the high number of inactive users at WP:USRD, we are asking that you verify that you are still an active contributor of the project. To do so, please add an asterisk (*) after your name on Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Newsletter/List. Users without one by the next issue in 2 weeks will be removed off the list and off the respective road projects as well. If you have any questions, please contact me on my talk page. Thanks. Unspecified source for Image:Ca144h.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ca144h.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:57, 14 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 20:57, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Angusposter.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Angusposter.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 07:00, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Work in progress, Fictional places of Eddings, would you help

[edit]

Hello Bennyp81...Would you be interested in helping with an article/list about the fictional places of the works of the Eddings that I am currently writing in my user space? I really don't know what to do with it, but if you were willing to help me with it, that would be great! If no one thinks it is worth it, I will just get rid of it. Pop on over if you want. - LA @ 06:20, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An RfC that you may be interested in...

[edit]

As one of the previous contributors to {{Infobox film}} or as one of the commenters on it's talk page, I would like to inform you that there has been a RfC started on the talk page as to implementation of previously deprecated parameters. Your comments and thoughts on the matter would be welcomed. Happy editing!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
