Should mention which side he was fighting on in the Civil War.

The article notes that he was in the United States Navy, not the Confederate States Navy. I'm not sure how much clearer it should be. But if you would like to change it, be bold. Jinian 03:15, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
