If you think you can help standardize the Ammonite classification, please do. I worked on it quite a bit last year, and it's a labryinth: many different schemes. And people keep monkeying with it as well. Please improve it if you think you can. --DanielCD 20:01, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neale Monks actually has an account and edits from time to time. On his talk page is a question I asked him about "ida" and "ina" endings in Ammonite classification. We might ask him to suggest a classification scheme. Thought you might be interested. --DanielCD 23:01, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

liquidGhoul's RfA

[edit]

Hi Lejean,

I'm not a fan of campaigning for adminship, but I thought you might want to know about this: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/LiquidGhoul. Some people complained that they didn't know about my RfA, and it seems we all attained some fame with that Featured Article frog!

Best,

Hi Lejean,

Thank you for your recent contributions to Nqwebasaurus. If you can think of more to add to the article, or to other dinosaur articles, please feel free to do so. We don't get a lot of serious contributions to most dinosaur articles. Thanks again. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 08:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lejean,

This is a really useful image, but I wonder about your inclusion of the Megalosauridae as Triassic fauna. I'm having difficulty locating sources which indicate there were Megalosaurids in the Triassic, and our current article on Megalosaurid doesn't mention anything about the Triassic. Is there a good source for this? Happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 20:29, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Firsfron, The image you mention does not indicate Megalosauridae as Triassic - the grey rectangle starts right after the boundary. This may also be incorrect, because the earliest fossils I know of are Bajocian [Waldman, M. (1974). Megalosaurids from the Bajocian (Middle Jurassic) of Dorset. Palaeontology 17(2):325-339] not Hettangian as the image suggests. I'll have to re-check my data about this image. Thanks for your remark. Lejean2000 07:02, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I did misread the chart (moved over one line), but as you say Early Jurassic seems a bit early. It's worth a double-check. Thanks for your time. Firsfron of Ronchester 08:05, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
