Request to update introduction
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello again. I have a final (at least for now!) request for improving this Wikipedia article, which I am submitting on behalf of my employer. Currently the first sentence says, "Teradata Corporation is a provider of database-related products and services." Since the article has been updated based on above requests, I'd like to propose changing the first sentence to: "Teradata Corporation is a provider of database and analytics-related products and services." This more accurately describes the company. @Spintendo: You have helped with several requests, so I'm wondering if you agree with this proposed change based on the improvements you've already made. Thanks again for your continued help. Dodds_Writer (Talk · Disclosure: Employee of Teradata) 22:15, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Approved As one of the purposes in maintaining databases is for analysis of data stored within them, it stands to reason that analytics would be a normal and expected companion term for a company already responsible for database services, so I've added that word to the lead. Additionally, I would like to place a Wikilink for the word analytics, but there are several instances of it in Wikipedia. If you could take a look at this analytics disambiguation list and let me know which form of analytics would best be used for that Wikilink, I would appreciate it. Thank you! - Addendum: similarly support merges for Teradata Parallel Transporter and Teradata Warehouse Miner. Klbrain (talk) 10:38, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
Enabling the reference to Aprimo to have its own wiki page
[edit]BeckieSch (talk) 16:17, 5 September 2018 (UTC)BeckieSch
The only existence of Aprimo on Wiki is on this Teradata page, but Teradata no longer owns Aprimo. It's an independent company. I'd like to remove the redirect and begin creation of a separate Aprimo page. How can I begin to do this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeckieSch (talk • contribs) 14:22, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
@Spintendo: - I see you have helped with other edits to this page, can you help me with this? --BeckieSch (talk) 16:23, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
