"Returning to the United States in July 1944, she embarked President Franklin D. Roosevelt and..." the ship got onto the president? Use plain English. "When the ship returned to the USA president whatever embarked and blah yadda"
- Check your dictionary - this is a valid use of "embark" and common in nautical circles. Stan 05:53, 28 May 2005 (UTC)
USN ensign
[edit]After discussions, the advice is to use naval ensigns, not jacks - see Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Tables. The correct US flag has been selected by a template - see the US entry in Wikipedia:WikiProject Ships/Ensigns. Folks at 137 17:44, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
CA-68
[edit]Does anyone know what the ship motto was for the US Baltimore CA-68? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.255.66.25 (talk) 01:45, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Armaments list error
[edit]The secondary armaments are listed as 5in guns, which is correct, but when converted to metric, the diameter is incorrectly displayed as 130mm. The correct conversation results in 127mm. I’m not quite sure how to fix this through syntax editing, but it needs to be fixed. Sky0023 (talk) 03:21, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
