Fair use rationale for Image:Dogfishhead.gif

[edit]

Image:Dogfishhead.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I have edited the image page to include a complete Fair Use Rationale for the use of the Dogfish Head Brewery corporate logo / brand identity in the article. Please refer to Image:Dogfishhead.gif for further information and to read the full justification. Amit (talk) 17:50, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wooden casks

[edit]

We should mention the gigantic custom-made wooden casks they use, made from Bulnesia sarmientoi wood. Badagnani (talk) 03:45, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See [1]. Badagnani (talk) 03:46, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Maybe we could fit this into the comments sections of the wikitable I just proposed to do? Amit (talk) 20:37, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Full Product Listing

[edit]

I think it's worthwhile to go ahead and include a wikitable with a full product listing from Dogfish Head. I'd suggest a few categories for the table:

  • Name
  • Date first brewed
  • Style
  • ABV
  • IBUs
  • Comments

Anybody have any other suggestions for topics? I'll start compiling a list separately and will try to edit this page within the week. Please voice any objections, concerns, or suggestions. Thanks. Amit (talk) 20:36, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone that cares, I've started building the table in my sandbox, so you can check it out, and comment in the talk page here or there about changes/additions that you would like to see or that you think would be relevant to this encyclopedic article. Amit (talk) 20:39, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have added the preliminary wikitable containing the current selection of beers brewed by Dogfish Head. All material is sourced directly from their official website, and I've added a ref tag to the section header for clarity. I will be working to improve this further in my sandbox, so please direct all questions to this talk page or my personal talk page. Thanks. Amit (talk) 01:34, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've got a topic to suggest, Dogfish Head's brainless decision to stop distributing in a half-dozen states. Either they are in this for the love of their craft, or they are money sucking greedy bastards. You can't tell me that distributing to, say Wisconsin, costs all that more than sending beer to, say Illinois. Their beancounters have taken over, and need to be kicked out. When a company like Dogfish Head pretends to care about their craft, and then allows accountants to tell them where they shouldn't sell because it's whatever percent less profitable, they have lost their soul. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.118.128.111 (talk) 03:23, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Private Equity ownership stake

[edit]

It seems a PE firm took a 15% stake in 2015. Is that worth a mention in this politicized world of beer? I personally think it would be good to add this kind of information to all craft brewery articles.

Although in no way do I buy into any anti-corporate knee jerk thing to equal Dogfish Head selling a small minority ownership stake to selling out in total to AB Inbev.

In a way PE ownership is better "in the name of beer" than a strategic parent that actually takes over or consolidates operations.

But the information is still relevant.

https://www.brewbound.com/news/dogfish-head-sells-15-percent-stake-to-lnk-partners

https://www.delawareonline.com/story/money/business/2015/09/30/dogfish-head-sells-ownership-stake-lnk-partners/73102616/

Says this notably:

"Calagione declined to provide specific financial terms of the deal, except to say LNK will get a newly added seat on what is now Dogfish Head’s four-member board of directors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Codebook44 (talkcontribs) 02:54, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New year round selection

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians;

Dogfish Head has a new year round selection called Hazy-O Citrus IPA. I haven't done editing on this page before, can someone add this to the page? Thank you! Spf121188 (talk) 12:57, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
