Hello, I need your help! Please read the entry for Mary Ellis of New Brunswick and if you find it relevant, please vote for not deleting it. I think only New Jersey people would be interested in saving it. Although a small article the research took almost 6 hours if I include the ancillary biographies --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 04:05, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you create a page, don't repeat the page title (eg on Leadership development. cheers. -- Tarquin 20:28 14 May 2003 (UTC)

Hi, your articles regarding organizational subjects are very valuable. They would be even more useful if you somehow tie them together. The easiest way of doing it, is by adding something like: In sociology... (or organizational theory, or something) at the start of each article. See for example the directory article. Maybe even have a separate "list of XXX terms" article. Yaronf 23:02 16 May 2003 (UTC)

Thank you, Yaron. As someone who is brand new to the wild world of wikiwiki, all of your comments (as well as Tarquin's!) are much appreciated.

Article Licensing

[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Intrapersonal communication article help

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you started the Intrapersonal communication article and wondered if you'd like to perhaps help me fix it up somehow. I've got an MA in Linguistics and Philosophy and find it challenging so I think a lot of people may be a bit lost when reading it, regardless of how interesting the points and subject are. I'll try and make some of the parts clearer over the next few days but if you want to help out it would be very useful. Please also tell me if I've done anything wrong with it. Thanks in advance. Hi Jellypuzzle. I like what you (or someone) has been doing at this article. I'll see if there is anything else that occurs to me to contribute. User:Thseamon January 17, 2006

Communication planning

[edit]

I have added a "prod" template to the article Communication planning, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Thseamon! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 691 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

The article Meeting has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The topic of this article is so broad and undifferentiated that the article as it stands is about as good as we can expect it to be: a solid definition followed by unsourced examples. While there exists an impressive body of reliable sources describing the conduct of specific classes of meetings, and a much larger body of work on how one can improve the efficiency of another subclass of meetings, what I'm not seeing is a reliable source that discusses meetings qua meetings. The topic could work as a category (holding Awayday, Kickoff meeting, etc.) and I could see an article on Meeting effectiveness (with literature going back at least to 1867), but I'm just not seeing this as a standalone article. I'm happy to discuss this further on the talk page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
