Welcome!

[edit]
Hello, KoRnholio8, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at Naming Conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my New-Users' Talk Page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
Happy editing!

hey KoRnholio8, i dont think you're right about the nollie stuff, its hard with skateboarding because its different all over, but please see http://www.skateboard-city.com/nollie.php "A Nollie is a Switch Fakie Ollie" Spencerk 00:56, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am skating for almost 6 years now and I don't believe I'm wrong, especially because I skate in switch stnace a lot. "A Nollie is a Switch Fakie Ollie" - there's no problem with this statement - it means that it is a swich switch trick which is then regular. Plus, the nameing in snowboarding is the same.

The only not logical naming in skateboarding is witsh the naming of fakie rotations. Other than that it's all very straight foward.--KoRnholio8 06:42, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice page, but it has some major problems. None of the information is sourced, which means it can't be included in Wikipedia. See WP:V and citing sources for more information. The one external link is in Spanish and doesn't seem to cite information on the page. --Liface 17:10, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It would be very difficult to find sources for these claims because they are more of a mouth to mouth nature...--KoRnholio8 17:48, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've been super-busy the last couple months so I haven't really looked at it. Maybe I'll try to start it today? --Liface 18:24, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well the sooner the better, but if you think you'll be busy in the next weeks, then it would be better to wait.--KoRnholio8 18:52, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

War agaisnt blanks

[edit]

I'm not terribly interested in the issue personally, and i do have some concerns about the notability and the main reference source.. You could post something about this on WP:CKY. Deiz talk 03:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IASC

[edit]

The article blatantly violates WP:NPOV, and one niche external source is insufficient to satisfy WP:V or assert notability under WP:N. The article should also be focussed on the association, not one issue they campaign on. This requires serious editing, you need to focus on:

  • Condensing the blanks issue as much as possible
  • Balancing the debate - what do blank deck manufacturers think?
  • Find more reliable sources

Don't take it personally if this article gets edited to reflect these requirements or gets considered for deletion, WP has content policies for a good reason. Let me know if I can help with anything in an editorial or admin capacity. Deiz talk 10:09, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My observations above still speak for themselves. If you don't agree then we clearly have wildly different interpretations of these policies. It would appear that others have also questioned the relationship of this article to Wikipedia's content policies. Deiz talk 14:44, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IASC

[edit]

Hi - I read through your article and I think there are some NPOV issues: WP:NPOV

I think the focus should be more upon who and what the IASC are (some history, background of key members and their raison d’être).

The part about blanks should not be called a 'fight'. I also didn't like the fact that it focused soley upon the IASC's point of view. A little more background here would help, especially the fact that the perceived 'problem' of blanks was actually created by IASC companies as it was them who moved production overseas and told the skaters that Chinese made boards were 'just as good' as US made boards.

Try to find some neutral sources: TWS Biz is hardly an impartial source for presenting a debate which is current Steve-g 11:53, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Transworld Skateboarding Feb 2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Transworld Skateboarding Feb 2007.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:15, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I wonder if you can tell me if this links are valid references to the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Bezgovo_cvrtje, Bezgovo cvrtje,, claimed to be a Slovenian national dish made of elderberries, fried in dough, (elderberries Sambucus nigra), recipes, to this article or possibly this ones:

Ko zavre, kuhamo bezgovec še dvajset minut in sproti odstranjujemo pene. Nato bezgovec odstavimo in ga vročega nalijemo v ogrete steklenice, ki jih dobro zamašimo in hranimo za zimo. ALENKA TRATNIK

I am only guessing though.
