Copyvio
[edit]I got rid of the copy and pasted biography provided by the Vatican and sculpted it into a proper encyclopedia article. --Gerald Farinas 20:51, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)
2005 Conclave
[edit]The article says that the alleged leaked diary of an unknown Cardinal is what revealed Cardinal Bergoglio as a frontrunner for the 2005 Conclave. But this actually isn't very accurate -- that supposed diary was leaked in September of 2005, but knowledge of Bergoglio's support had been around since shortly after the Conclave. See John Allen's book on the 2005 Conclave -- the book had been written and released months before the diary was supposed to have leaked out, and it talks about Bergoglio's candidacy there. So that diary really didn't reveal anything that hadn't already been known.
