Your RfA

[edit]

Hi there. I'm really sorry but I had to close your RfA per WP:SNOW as it was rapidly heading into failure. May I suggest you get a few more months editing behind you then possibly apply again when, hopefully, things will be a lot different? Really sorry - Alison 00:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to see your RfA failed. :( (I would have voted but most of it was happening while I was offline.) I wish you better luck next time. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  04:16, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's OK, honestly I was more interested to see what kind of feedback it would get than I was in gaining any of the powers of an admin. I was expecting it to be a little less unanimously negative, though. :( Oh well, this is what happens when staunch exopedians try to dabble in the Wikipedia metagame. :) Luvcraft 13:27, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Luvcraft, if your main concern was getting feedback, you might look into WP:Editor review or Wikipedia:Admin coaching if you haven't already. You're likely to get more useful feedback. A near-unanimous "no" on an RfA is not the same as a near-unanimous "we think you're doing a terrible job". --barneca (talk) 16:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I didn't know such things existed! Thanks! Luvcraft 01:50, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Brian Eddy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brian Eddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 20:40, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in Gaim (Babylon 5)

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Gaim (Babylon 5), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Gaim (Babylon 5) is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Gaim (Babylon 5), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Kaizo Hayashi

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kaizo Hayashi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. No problem. Saving established Japanese articles from deletion on en: wikipedia is a hobby of mine, I guess. If you can read a bit of kanji, what I usually try to do when searching for someone's name is figure out what category the article would be in on the Ja: wiki, and go from there. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Shiren cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Shiren cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Luvcraft! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 34 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. ⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Ninja kid.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:30, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article The Adventures of Conan: A Sword and Sorcery Spectacular has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced since 2010. Just a plot recap w/ minimal backstage information to show real-world notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
