[edit]So, who invented the first veggie burger? I can recall hearing of tofu burgers as early as the 1970s. They were mentioned in "Ruthless People." Morningstar Farms might be added to the list of popular vburgs. Flatulence concerns are not addressed, lol. This page could be linked from "soybean" or "borborygmus." Agriculture and ecology could be mentioned, such as huge soy surpluses.--Badmuthahubbard 21:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Veggie burger → Vegetable burger – I would like a more good and descriptive title, not an short one (as Veggie redirects to Vegetable. 99.33.117.186 (talk) 01:37, 29 April 2022 (UTC) --99.33.117.186 (talk) 01:37, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Resubstituted template so pagename to be moved listed below template matches name in template. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 02:54, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose; current title is the WP:COMMONNAME per ngrams. BilledMammal (talk) 03:14, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose not liking a title is not a valid reason to change it especially if the current one is the close common name.--65.92.163.109 (talk) 03:22, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose though it is called "veggie burger", many of these burgers are not actually made of vegetables, rather it is made from vegetative matter and fungi, a "vegetarian burger" for vegetarians. "vegetative" and "vegetarian" is not the same as "vegetable", so the proposed name is wrong and misleading -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 04:40, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. They're called "veggie burgers". I don't think I've ever seen or heard "vegetable burger". I have seen "vegetarian burger", which I assume is the origin of the name "veggie burger". The veggie burgers in my local pub contain cheese, which is arguably vegetarian, but definitely not a vegetable. Maproom (talk) 09:08, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Not only is "veggie burger" the common name, the patty in the burger might not necessarily be made of vegetables. JIP | Talk 10:15, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
